Dennis Franklin Hill was born the son of Andrew (Jack) and Martha (Ulrich) Hill on December 13, 1954 in Dexter, Iowa. He died at Kavanagh House Hospice on 56th St. in Des Moines, Iowa following a battle with cancer at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 4 days. No services are planned. Interment of the cremains will take place at East Linn Cemetery at a later date. Dennis, who became known as "Jed", graduated from Dexfield High School in 1973. He was a tuba player in the high school band. Dennis worked at the Oscar Meyer pork plant in Perry for several years, the Tile plant in Adel and Evo Medical Solutions at Ortonville. Dennis was a huge fan of NASCAR racing, enjoyed putting together puzzles, collected Harley Davidson items and mostly spending time with family. He is survived by his mother Martha Hill of Redfield; brother Darrel Hill of Redfield, brother Fred Hill and wife Delores of Redfield, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Jack Hill.
