Amy Rosella Koboldt Leggett

Amy Rosella Koboldt Leggett, 90, of Winterset, formerly of Earlham, passed away January 1, 2012, at the West Bridge Care & Rehab Center in Winterset. A graveside service will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, at the Earlham City Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham.

Amy was born July 26, 1921, to Harry and Martha Allen Koboldt, in Boone County, Iowa. Amy attended grade school at Beaver, Iowa, before moving to Earlham, with her family and graduated with the class of 1938. After graduation, Amy worked as a housekeeper for a family in Des Moines. Later moving to Florida with them. In 1948, she was married John E. Leggett, in Miami, Florida. Amy and John worked in the food service industry at various locations in the southern and southeastern states. After their retirement they made their home in Earlham in 1968. In 2002, Amy moved to West Bridge Assisted Living and Care Center in Winterset.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Martha Koboldt, husband John E. Leggett, brothers, Earl Koboldt and Wayne Koboldt, sisters Pearl Koboldt, Myra Spencer and Mae Martens, all of Earlham.

She is survived by her sister, Nina Davis of Oskaloosa and a host of nieces and nephews.
